interesting facts about Nandos


  1. Nandos currently has the largest collection of south african art and they love it because it reminds them of their roots
  2. The closest Nandos to the equator is in Singapore
  3. Nandos was the first South african retail brand to go global across 5 continents
  4. Each Nandos calls their manager patraos because it means head of the house and being manager in Portugese is being the head of the Nandos house 
  5. Their marinades and sauces are made from 100% natural ingredients 
  6. Their largest restauraunt is in London Stratford
  7. Nandos sauce has been rated Number 1 in the hot sauce catergory in the UK and South Africa
  8. PERI PERI is Swahili for the africans bird eye chilli which is a main ingredient for the sauce and where is was all founded
  9. The heat of a chilli depends on how much capsaicin which is the hot stuff that makes the chilli hot and spicy
  10. Their first restaurant opened in 1987 in Rosettenville in South Africa

How the unique sauce is made to perfection

firstly the main ingredients inside one bottle of PERRI PERRI sauce is as follows
  1. water of course
  2. white vinegar
  3. onion
  4. salt
  5. lemon
  6. Serrano chill
  7. African birds eye chilli which is the main ingredient
  8. garlic
  9. different spices for different flavours and hotness
and you simply just blend all the ingredients into one and then you have one bottle of Nandos and put on the fridge to refrigerate and then you have made  PERI PERI sauce or can also be used as a marinade whatever suits.
